What is multiposting?

With every new job advertisement, the advertisement is advertised on various channels. Possible channels include the company’s own website, the intranet, various job exchanges, search engines, social media or print media. Preparation: Analysis of job boards and other channels

Despite the fact that it is relatively easy to advertise on many channels, you should think about your target group. Which channels do your potential applicants use to search? So:

  • Quality of the channels: How well does the channel suit your target group?
  • Reach of the channels: Reach your target group with this channel

The possibilities of the many social media channels should also be considered. Do you want to focus on professional networks such as LinkedIn and Xing? Or should you also consider general social media such as Facebook or Instagram? In most cases, posts can either be placed free of charge in the feed or for a fee on the separate social media job boards.

Based on your research, you can limit the selection of channels if necessary and thus save costs.

Post-processing: Evaluating the results

Once the job has been filled, it is important to evaluate the channels used. Based on this, you can adjust the selection for future job advertisements if necessary.

How many applicants were received per channel? In other words, how did the applicants become aware of your vacancy? You may also be able to identify differences between different jobs or professional groups and advertise more efficiently.
Compare the costs of advertising in the channels with the applicants received. Take into account not only the number of applications received but also the quality. So where did the candidates I end up hiring come from?

Can statements be made about the quality of applicants per channel? For example, did channel A receive the majority of applicants who did not fit the profile and received a rejection straight away? Or were there channels where many candidates made it to the second or even third round?
