SolidarAndhra has been committed to helping orphans and young people in the Indian state of Telangana since 2007. The father of Lukas (our co-founder) has been involved in this project for years and has already been on site several times.
The association now supports and cares for around 400 children and young people, 70 of whom attend our school for hearing-impaired children. The aim is to provide the children, most of whom are orphaned, with accommodation with surviving family members and to provide them with medical care as well as an education. Another area of activity is the support of HIV-infected women and children.
We are delighted that our contribution has secured funding for the education of 6 children.
